This is the last Will and Testament of me Michael Bayly of the hamlet of Mottingham in the County Of Kent Farmer who not being well in health but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding Praised be Almighty God for the same considering the uncertainty of this life Do hereby make this my last Will as follows First I give and bequeath unto my son Michael Bayly All that my Leasehold Messuage Tenement or Farm House wherein I inhabit or dwell situate and being at Mottingham aforesd. with the lands and Premises thereto belonging To hold the same unto my said Son Michael Bayly his Executors Adminstrators and Assigns for and during all the Residue and Remainder of the Terms as I shall have to run therein at the time of my decease Also I give and bequeath unto my said Son Michael Bayly All my Stock and Crop of Hay Corn and Grain whatsoever Beans Peas or other thing which shall be growing arising or being in upon or about the said Farm Lands and Premises now occupied by me at the time of my decease and also all my Waggons Carts Horses Harness Ploughs and all my implements and Utensils whatsoever in Husbandry in about belonging to used in the said Farm and Lands upon this express Condition That he my said Son Michael Bayly Do and shall within one month next after my decease well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto his Sister Harriot Green Wife of William Green of the Village of Eltham in the said County of Kent Farmer the sum of one hundred pounds of lawful money of Great Britain And do hereby charge and subject my said Stock and Crop of Hay Corn Grain and other things and also my said Waggons Carts Horses Harness Ploughs and all other my implements and utensils in Husbandry in about belonging to or used in the said Farm Lands and Premises with the payment of the said Legacy or Sum of one hundred pounds to my Daughter the said Harriot Green accordingly Also I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah Waller of East Greenwich in the County Of Kent Widow the sum of one hundred Pounds of like lawful money Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Newman the sum of five Guineas of like lawful money Also all the rest residue and remainder of my Personal Estate and Effects of what nature kind or sort soever and wheresoever situate lying and being after payment of my just Debts and two last mentioned Legacys of one hundred pounds and five Guineas to my said two Daughters Sarah Waller and Ann Newman and Funeral Expenses I give and bequeath the same unto my loving Wife Elizabeth Bayly her Executors Adm-ors and Assigns for ever And I do hereby nominate Constitute and Appoint my said Wife Elizabeth Bayly and my said Son Michael Bayly Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making null and void all former Wills and Testaments by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this and no other to be my last Will In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my Hand and Seal this nineteenth day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven Michael Bayly Signed Sealed Published Prom-ited and Declared by the said Testator Michael Bayly as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our Names as Witness thereto in the Presence of the said Testator and of each other and at his request J.Ellis Joseph Everson
This Will was Proved at London the fourteenth day of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven Before the Worshipful Thomas Bever Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful Sir George Day Knight also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oaths of Elizabeth Bayly Widow the Relict
and Michael Bayly the Son of the Deceased and Executors named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased having been first sworn only to administery Exd
