Michael Bayly Snr was buried at Eltham Church on the 30th March 1777 leaving a will. According to family notes his gravestone showed he was born in 1700. His son Michael Bayly junior was born in 1743, and his second marriage was to Jane Maria Snellson in 1796 at St Magnus the Martyr Church in London. He was "Clerk of the Repository" for the Royal Artillery at Woolwich. His son Daniel Rogers Bayly was born only five years before his death. Another son, Thomas John had a daughter Emma, who married John Prothero who became Mayor of Brecon.
