George Chapman Bradley, born about 1831, became a doctor and moved to Barrow in Furness. (Gustavus) Alfred joined the 17th Lancers in 1858, after the Indian Mutiny. Family notes say his large beard concealed a scar from a serious injury while he was in the Lancers. He was later a manufacturer of stepladders. Margaret (Bradley)Sims was a music teacher and pianist, who travelled to America and visited Haswell relations there. Charles Percy and his wife Emma stayed in Watford where they had a draper's shop. In 1879 Emma's niece who was working in the shop drowned in the River Colne, and Charles was blamed. Over 2000 people gathered and threw stones and bricks at the shop, so intense was the anger in the town. The family escaped, and moved away from Watford. Francis Bradley and his wife Eliza remained in Watford, where Francis worked as a clerk in the Tourist Office. Sadly their only child Emily died. Florence Bradley married F.J. Bayly and there are further photos of her in that album. Emma Haswell married Harry Tipper when she was nearly 40, it was his second marriage. Edmund Bradley was known as Alick, he married Adeline in 1885, and worked for the Post Office. (Please see separate album for Charlotte Bradley)
