From ‘Camden town and Primrose Hill” by john Richardson “Park Chapel was on the west side of Arlington Road junction with Delancy Street. built 1843, destroyed by fire 1848 and rebuilt, now flats.” John Binney was the minister at the time of his marriage.

Worked as electrical engineer for Southern Railway at Slades Green (now called Slade Green) From the Slade Green web-site it says that the first building in Slade Green came with the new railway to Dartford from London via Woolwich. It was chosen as the place for a huge engine shed and maintenance depot (which it still has)) He was in charge of the Electricity Generating station which provided power for the works and for the houses there. By 1932 he was in charge of Southern Railway’s power house at Wimbledon

Excellent shot - won King's Prize in 1932, the oldest man to do so (at Bisley). Was in the King's Hundred three times. He belonged to several rifle clubs, and was asked to shoot for England, but was unable to do so because of his work. He owned four 303 rifles including L.E./BSA and a P.14, also a Greener .22 rifle (fire-arms certificate and letter from Bisley))

Invented several military items [range-finder etc.]

From 8th June 1940 to 31st Dec 1944 served in the 56th Kent Battalion of the Home Guard, as company sergeant major. He was also in the equivalent of the Home Guard in 1st world war

From letters it is clear that his Aunt Charlotte Bradley paid for him to have violin lessons.
