He was raised in Nether Providence, and remained there with his mother in 1880. He married Harriet, b. 1861, Pa., but was divorced in 1900 living with his sister and uncle, George Forrest. She apparently is the Harriet Prescott named as next of kin by son Walter on his W.W. I draft card. He died 1909, perhaps having remarried to Mary E., b. ca. 1880, a boarder in Philadelphia in 1910.132
